Student Government Association

Welcome Classmates!
We are delighted to welcome you to the Island University. On behalf of the Student
Government Association (SGA), we feel honored that you have chosen to make
Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi your new home. As the President and Vice
President of SGA we are excited to represent you and the rest of the student body
for the 2011-2012 school year. We have modified the structure of our government
to better present your voices, opinions, and ideas to the administration. However,
in order for your voices and those of our peers to be heard it is our responsibility to
welcome you to do so. The Student Government Association is your liaison between
you and TAMUCC administration. After all it is your university and your needs,
concerns, and opinions are a priority for us to address. We encourage you to join
us at our weekly meetings to learn more about what SGA does and how to make
your voices heard. Also we would like to promote the involvement in other extra-
curricular activities on campus, whether it is an academic or social organization.
The island is your new home and we want to provide you with the ultimate islander
experience. If ever you have any questions please feel free to stop by our office at
the University Center in room 206 during our operating office hours. You may also
call us at 361-825-5745 or visit our website at: sga.tamucc.edu.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Garza,SGA President and Jeanetly Garcia, SGA Vice President
