Welcome to Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi! We are glad to have you here on our beautiful Island University whether this is your first semester or your last, we would like to wish you the best of luck! The Student Government Association's (SGA) duty is to serve as the official liaison between students and administration here at TAMU-CC. It is an honor and privilege to represent the voice of all students at this institution.
The Student Government Association's main focus is to address issues as a governing body that is brought forth from you, the student. We openly invite all students to take part in SGA and provide us with your thoughts and opinions on any matter here at the Island University. There are several different ways that you can become active in SGA. Through the executive, legislative, and judicial branches there are several positions and committees that are structured to organize efforts to address any issues that students may have.
We encourage all students to consider becoming a member of SGA! As a member you will gain vital leadership skills that will help you develop as a student and professional here on campus. Feel free to come by and see us in the University Center (UC), Room 218M, or calling us at 361-825-5745. You can also contact me directly at SGA.President@tamucc.edu or Vice President Andrea Gilson at SGA.VP@tamucc.edu.
It is going to be a another great year here on the Island University, and we are looking forward to working for the students of this amazing university and making your experience here the best that it can be. We are excited to work closely with you and administrators to create an optimal college experience as a true Islander.
We invite all students to attend our weekly meetings that are held on Wednesday’s at 12:15pm.
Have a great year, Islanders!
