Welcome to Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi! We are glad to have you here at the Island University.
The Student Government Association (SGA) is one of three governing bodies on campus, and we serve to represent the student body. SGA is a liaison between the students and administration at TAMU-CC, and advocates for change on campus that would benefit the student body.
The Student Government Association's focus is to address issues and implement ideas brought forward by the students. We invite all students to take part in SGA and provide us with your thoughts and opinions on your experience on the Island.
We encourage interested students to start by becoming a committee member of SGA. As a committee member, you will gain vital leadership skills that will help you develop as a student and professional on campus. You can also represent your respective college by serving as a senator on our legislative branch of SGA.
Feel free to come by and see us in the University Center (UC), Room 218M, or call us at 361-825-5745. You can also contact me directly at SGA.President@tamucc.edu or Vice President June Scheick at SGA.VP@tamucc.edu.
It is going to be another great year on the Island University, and we are looking forward to working for students and making your experience here the best it can be.
Have a great year, Islanders!
